Tom Tate warns Gold Coasters to be prepared for La Nina this summer

Mayor Tom Tate says that the Gold Coast needs to be prepared as a third La Nina event approaches South-East Queensland this summer. 

The impact on the Coast’s beaches is expected to be of the greatest concern.

Unlike Brisbane, the Gold Coast City Council isn’t encouraging residents to stockpile sandbags. 

Mayor Tate says that you can’t compare the needs of the two cities.
