Pots of Fun for Everyone!

Woolworths has certainly redeemed themselves following the plastic Ooshies promotion. What a gem of an idea for Spring – Discovery Garden, 24 different vegetables, herb and flower seeds to collect and grow.

This collectable seedling promotion with a few seeds, expandable soil pellet in a biodegradable pot is a fun way to teach kids how to grow their favourite vegetables, herbs and flowers.  Imagine the conversations about what is a snapdragon? Or what dishes do you use parsley in? Waking up every morning before school to check for that first green shoot, watering them if they are too dry and then eventually planting them in a larger planter tub.   You can create your own herb garden on the kitchen window or create your own fairy garden filled with pansies and snapdragons.

Woolworths has created instructional videos for you and the kids to watch before you plant and you can collect the seed holders, gloves and other tools (for an extra cost) from your supermarket. This is a fantastic way to educate while having fun and with or without kids, this is not something most people will reject at the checkout.

Great idea Woolworths.  Now put your creative team on to creating fun ways that we can teach our kids about climate change, biodiversity, circular economies, budgeting, science and other first world problems in an engaging fun way!
